BLUE SKY PSYCHOTHERAPY

BLUE SKY PSYCHOTHERAPY
My name is Isla, and I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist with an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy from Metanoia Institute. I offer trauma-informed psychotherapy grounded in compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s individual experience.
I work with adults facing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including trauma, anxiety, burnout, low self-worth, identity struggles, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I also support clients coming to terms with the lasting impact of difficult family relationships, emotionally harmful dynamics, childhood trauma, and the patterns these experiences can create in adult life.
Alongside my clinical training, I bring lived experience as a veteran, skydiver and tandem instructor, and mother. These experiences have shaped my understanding of resilience, pressure, responsibility, and the emotional demands that can exist beneath high-functioning or high-performance lives.
I have a particular interest in working with survivors of trauma, female veterans, and those involved in extreme or high-risk environments. I understand how trauma can intersect with identity, motherhood, service, performance, and the body, and how carrying multiple roles can leave little space to process what has been endured.
I offer a warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental therapeutic space where we can explore your experiences at a pace that feels safe for you. My approach is relational and integrative, recognising that no two people experience distress in the same way.
I work exclusively online from my home near Salzburg, offering confidential therapy to clients internationally, including those based in the UK. Online therapy can provide flexibility, accessibility, and continuity of support wherever you are in the world.
I offer flexible appointments, including early-morning sessions, to fit around work, family life, training schedules, and other professional or personal commitments.
About me
I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist with an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy from Metanoia Institute. My approach to therapy is grounded, relational, and compassionate, while also offering thoughtful challenge where needed. I believe meaningful change comes not only from feeling supported, but from developing deeper awareness of the patterns, behaviours, and ways of relating that may be keeping us stuck.
I aim to create a therapeutic space where clients feel able to speak openly and honestly, without fear of judgement. Alongside empathy and support, I work collaboratively with clients to explore destructive or repetitive patterns, understand where they may have originated, and begin moving towards lasting change.
Alongside my professional training, I bring lived experience as a veteran, mother, and someone familiar with high-pressure and high-performance environments. These experiences have shaped my understanding of resilience, responsibility, identity, and the emotional complexity that can exist beneath outward competence.
As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on the individual and their needs, recognising that no two people experience the world in the same way. I work at a pace that feels safe and manageable, while encouraging curiosity, self-awareness, and deeper understanding throughout the therapeutic process.

What does therapy entail?
You might be functioning well on the outside, yet feel on edge, disconnected, or exhausted inside. You may be used to pushing through, minimising your own needs, or staying in control even when things feel overwhelming. Therapy can offer space to slow down, make sense of what’s been held, and begin to feel more at ease.
I offer one-to-one online and phone sessions that will last 50 minutes. During these sessions we can use the time to explore whatever you would like, and we can adapt the sessions to align with your needs.
I combine a supportive, non-judgemental style with being appropriately challenging.
I help clients to gain insight into themselves and their relationships.
I work collaboratively to empower clients to gain a sense of agency over their lives and relationships.
My fees are £60 per session either online or in Person in the North East of England. I offer a free initial phone call to discuss your needs to ensure that we are able to work together. You can use this time to ask any questions that you may have about the therapy.
If this seems like it may be of interest then please feel free to get I touch via my contact form to discuss further.
